Test Report

So well known are Club Car vehicles that our testers needed no introduction to them. In the electric version, the controls of the Turf 1 are self-explanatory. You know what will do what, without having to think about it. It's as simple as stop/go, forward/reverse.

It is quiet and, combined with cheaper running costs and less maintenance, Turf 1 is likely to be the solution to many on-site transport problems. It is particularly suited to applications on golf courses. We believe it should also prove useful on estates, around nurseries and even for carrying bedding plants and materials around theme parks.
The vehicle features the PowerDrive System — intended to deliver a balance of hill-climbing power and cost-saving energy efficiency. It’s smooth on the pick-up in both forward and reverse, and there is no problem turning the vehicle in tight spaces. We reckon that Turf 1 probably has the tightest turning circle of any turf utility vehicle. It’s remarkably manoeuvrable. And the aluminium chassis means the vehicle is so light, it leaves no marks on turf.
Simply plug in to charge. It should register full in eight hours and, according to Club Car, should provide sufficient running for 32km continuous drive.
