It's a 51cm mower but it's remarkably compact.
It has impressive quick-fold handles and is light, so this machine should definitely appeal to those who need to transport mowers between sites and lift the units on and off a pick-up or trailer or out of a car boot.
Again there is a choice of engines. We look at the Pro 51 fitted with a six-horsepower Kawasaki OHV four-stroke engine but other options include a six-horsepower Briggs & Stratton and a five-horsepower SB two-stroke. The mowers have the power to do the job.
The sturdy cutting deck is moulded in one aluminium part. The rubber front acts as both bumper and shock absorber — this mower literally bounces off obstacles — and can be removed to permit mowing right up to the base of trees. Many features, including central-mounted handlebars and cable cover, are shared with the 46cm series.
The testers are impressed. “The weight and balance make it easy to use, and I like the robust controls. The build quality is excellent,” says the tester. “It’s clear that Etesia is listening to customers and coming up with new ideas.”
